Port Ghalib infratstructure plan was designed and implemented to cover Port Ghalib as a project and its surrounding areas. From day one, the mast developer - M. A. Kharafi Group - placed strict measures for protecting the environment at each and every phase of construction and development. In order to achieve this goal, huge investments ($90 million) were placed in the infrastructure projects, such as:
- State of the art power generating plant
- Water desalination plant
- Sewage treatment plant
- District cooling system unit covering the whole project
- Fibre optics network providing state of the art communication network
- A complete road network
All of these projects are environmentally friendly and have been designed and built in areas away from main population centres and tourism facilities.
