HEPCA is an internationally recognized NGO specializing in the field of marine and land conservation. We were founded in 1992 by 12 representatives of the diving community in response to serious environmental threats affecting the Red Sea’s delicate and pristine Eco-system.

The Marine Laboratory is considered one of the most important elements of the center, where the center has spawned more than 500 thousand units of the sight being up to an average of 3 cm. The center also seeks to replicate this experiment with the sea cucumber as these organisms were depleted from the natural marine environment as a result of over fishing And the Assembly will restore these organisms to rehabilitate those habitats.

General Abdallah praised the objectives of the center, as well as the preservation of the marine environment. The Center provides an appropriate environment for training Egyptian university students specialized in the field of marine sciences to carry out field activities and to create cadres that work to preserve natural resources.

It was also presented by the HEPCA Association on the preparations to transform the convention center in Port Ghalib into a digital museum on the environment of the Red Sea to be one of the touristic attraction points in the southern region and to contribute to the process of raising the environmental awareness of visitors.

The Governor pointed out that besides the re-oysters to the marine environment, the remainder is exported and the result is to the fishermen community in order to develop this important profession, which is one of the oldest and most important professions in the Red Sea.
